ABOUT US
SERVICE MODEL
Whittle Consulting’s approach to Enterprise Optimization for the Mining Industry involves a combination of:
- Advanced analytical, costing and operational modelling techniques
- Advanced use of Gemcom Whittle software
- Whittle Consulting Prober – B optimisation software (proprietary)
- Efficient data base and data processing management
- Extensive experience in mining optimisation and business planning challenges
Planning activity tends to come in short bursts, so the ability to quickly identify the issues, capture and process the data, and perform the analysis is critical. In order for clients to rely on our services to support something as important as strategic planning and decision making, we have focussed on:
- Communication and planning
- Rigorous review and validation
- Data security
- Tailored reporting
- Data processing capacity
- Flexibility
An optimisation project is a team effort. Our integrated approach to Enterprise Optimization is the umbrella process that combines knowledge and relevant information from all disciplines within the organisation, to develop strategies that identify the best options for value enhancement.
An initial optimisation study may take between 1 and 6 weeks, the ongoing application of the approach developed depending on its relevance to the future challenges of the client involved. Follow-up can be on a regular or “ad hoc” basis as required. With ongoing client relationships, we see clients take an increasing role in controlling the direction of the analysis and operation of the optimisation models.
Our commercial model involves fees for consulting time of our personnel, and fees per run for use of the Prober – B optimiser and data processing facility (i.e. no software purchase cost). Alternatively we can work on a shared risk and return basis.
